THE AUTHOR

Inspired by her mother’s clever verse and father’s fantastic tales, first-time author R.A. Scanzillo has had stories in her head since she first held a crayon. Choosing a career as professional musician and educator, her ever-present observational stare and reflective ruminations have finally given rise to this published collection.

She was raised to watch and listen – especially in the company of men. Peculiar people – largely men, and the women subjected to them – were her fascination. These are her stories.
