Inspired by her mother’s clever verse and father’s fantastic tales, first-time author R.A. Scanzillo has had stories in her head since she first held a crayon. Choosing a career as professional musician and educator, her ever-present observational stare and reflective ruminations have finally given rise to this published collection.

She was raised to watch, listen, and keep silent in the company of men. Peculiar people — largely men, and their women — were her fascination. These are her stories.
